Product details

While in the Middle Ages the emphasis was still on chests reinforced with metal bands, the triumphant march of safes began in modern times. These massive metal cabinets, often firmly anchored to the wall and floor, make it much harder for thieves to find their prey. The enormous weight of the safes prevents the cabinet from being taken along and the combination locks and the thick armouring make cracking on site an elaborate and not exactly inconspicuous undertaking. In addition to criminals, there are also innocent citizens who are interested in safes, for example the locking mechanisms inside. With the wooden safe you also have the possibility to build a safe from scratch. So that you don't get lumbago, the safe wood kit consists of plywood, birch wood and rubber. Before you can hold a fully functional safe including combination lock in your hands, you have to assemble it. You don't need any tools or glue for assembly, the parts pre-cut with a laser are simply removed from the plate. To ensure that the gears mesh smoothly, you should have a file or a small piece of emery paper and a small amount of wax (e.g. from a tea light) to lubricate the mechanism. Due to the complex combination lock, which requires precise work, the kit was aimed at advanced hobbyists.
