The EX-1331-4KVIS USB 2.0 to Serial RS-232/422/485 in a plastic housing provides a serial RS-232, 422, or 485 High Performance UART 16C550 combo outputs with 15KV ESD surge protection and 4KV optical isolation. It is designed to add an additional serial output in a compact plastic case for desktop computers or notebooks via the USB 2.0 bus. With easy installation, the computer does not need to be opened, and the EX-1331-4KVIS can be installed while the system is running. The included EX-K1552V cable with A-type to B-type connector can be attached to the EX-1331-4KVIS using thumb screws without the need for a screwdriver, preventing the cable from coming loose. Optionally, the EX-1331-4KVIS can be mounted on a DIN rail in a 19” rack using the EX-6099 (DIN-Rail Kit).

The EX-47920 RS-232 to RS-232 adapter can be used with any PC, workstation, notebook, or server that has an RS-232 interface, thereby protecting your RS-232 peripheral device from overvoltage and providing optical isolation. The EX-47920 features a DB9 socket that can be directly connected to the PC. The DB9 socket is configured as a DCE port, isolating the three RS-232 signals (TXD, RXD, and GND) from the DB9 connector, which is configured as a DTE. The EX-47920 is compatible with both new and older RS-232 devices. It is easy to install without needing to turn off the PC.
