Product details

The EX-47920 RS-232 to RS-232 adapter can be used with any PC, workstation, notebook, or server that has an RS-232 interface, thereby protecting your RS-232 peripheral device from overvoltage and providing optical isolation. The EX-47920 features a DB9 socket that can be directly connected to the PC. The DB9 socket is configured as a DCE port, isolating the three RS-232 signals (TXD, RXD, and GND) from the DB9 connector, which is configured as a DTE. The EX-47920 is compatible with both new and older RS-232 devices. It is easy to install without needing to turn off the PC. Thus, the EX-47920 offers a quick way to upgrade the RS-232 interface with optical isolation and overvoltage protection.

  • Supports up to 2.5 kV optical isolation
  • Supports up to 15 kV ESD overvoltage protection
  • Supports three signals - TXD, RXD, and GND
  • DCE RS-232 port: DB9 socket with TXD, RXD, and GND signals
