On this page you'll find a ranking of the best RØDE products in this category. To give you a quick overview, we've already ranked the most important information about the products for you.

1. RØDE Wireless GO II

An extremely versatile complete system which, with two transmitter modules and a 2-channel receiver, is ideal for interviews and many other occasions where two sound sources are to be recorded simultaneously and separately. The highlight: the output is optionally analogue via the receiver's 3.5 mm TRS jack or digital via USB-C. In addition to a camera, the receiver can therefore also be easily connected to a computer or Android or iOS device via USB: perfect, for example, for mobile videos, presentations, conferences, etc. The signal quality is at its best, both analogue and digital: crystal clear and ready to transmit!

The two transmitters and the receiver each have an internal battery that allows 7 hours of work and can be recharged via USB-C. All you have to do to operate the modules is switch them on, and after just 2 seconds the radio link is up and running. Wireless GO II uses the latest Series IV 2.4 GHz digital technology, which is extremely insensitive to WLAN and Bluetooth interference, can be used free of registration and charges and offers a range of a gigantic 200 metres with a clear line of sight. In addition to the charging cables, the TRS cable and the fur windshields, the scope of delivery also includes a practical neoprene case for storing and transporting the system.

The TX transmitter modules
Each of the two 4x4 cm small transmitter modules already has a high-quality condenser microphone built in, which has been optimally tuned for speech transmission. With the clamp on the back, the transmitter module can be easily attached to clothing - ideally to the collar, lapel or at chest level. If the person is not moving too much, you can also simply put it in the breast pocket of a shirt or blouse. If the transmitter module is too prominent in the picture, you can use the 3.5 mm TRS socket on the side to connect an external microphone - for example the Lavalier GO clip-on microphone. A fur windscreen is indispensable for outdoor recordings. Three of them are included in the scope of delivery (one as a spare), which can be firmly attached to the transmitter module thanks to the bayonet catch and safely protect against ugly wind noise.

The RX receiver module
The receiver module can be easily attached to the hot shoe of a camera, the audio connection is then made via the 3.5 mm TRS socket on the side. However, you can also use the USB-C socket and output the signal digitally. The receiver is easily recognised by current computers as well as Android and iOS devices. You can also set whether the signals from the two transmitters are output separately (TX1 left/TX2 right) or in mono - in this case, the signals from TX1 and TX2 are combined and recorded identically on the left and right channels. The LC display of the receiver informs about connection status, output mode, channel level, selected level adjustment as well as charging status of both transmitters. The level adjustment and output mode (mono/stereo) can be selected via the buttons on the front and the transmitter modules can be muted individually if required.

Future-proof
Firmware updates are also possible via the USB-C socket using the 'RØDE Central' software. For example, you can already activate an on-board recording function in the transmitter. This automatically records the audio signal in the transmitter module as a backup as soon as the radio link is switched on. This is ideal to be able to fall back on this audio track in case of failures. And in the receiver, a safety mode can be activated via "RØDE Central", in which the sound output on the right channel is 20 dB quieter. If an unexpectedly loud sound source distorts audibly on the main track, you can simply use the quieter safety track in post-processing.

4. RØDE Wireless GO II Single

Ultra-compact complete system for all content creators who travel alone. The Wireless GO II SINGLE consists of a transmitter and a receiver module. The transmitter module already has a microphone optimally tuned for voice transmission. The receiver module has an analogue 3.5 mm TRS output for cameras and a digital USB-C output for Mac/PC, smartphone and iPhone.

The operation is very simple. To operate, you only have to switch on the two modules, they connect automatically. The signal quality is at its best, both analogue and digital: crystal clear and ready to transmit immediately. The transmitter and receiver have an internal battery that lasts for at least four hours. The Wireless GO II system has a range of 200 (.) metres with a clear line of sight. The scope of delivery includes a short 3.5 mm TRS cable, 2 fur windscreens, two USB-C to USB-A cables and a neoprene carrying bag.

The 4x4 cm small transmitter module has a clip on the back, with which it can be conveniently attached to clothing - on the collar or lapel. If the module is too conspicuous in the picture, you can use the 3.5 mm TRS socket on the side and connect an external microphone there, for example the Lavalier GO. If you wish, you can also record the audio signal directly in the transmitter module itself as a backup. For this onboard recording function, the module has a memory chip that is sufficient for over 40 hours of sound. For undisturbed outdoor recordings, you should always use the supplied fur windscreen. It can be easily attached to the transmitter module with its bayonet catch.

The receiver module can be easily attached to the camera's hot shoe. The module is then connected to the camera's microphone input via the TRS cable supplied. Using a suitable USB cable, you can also output the signal digitally to a computer or an Android or iOS device. For the latter, the RØDE SC15 or SC16 cables are suitable. The two buttons on the front can be used to select the output mode, mute the transmitter module and reduce the output level by 12 dB or 24 dB. The LC display shows the output mode, level and charging status of the receiver and transmitter. If necessary, you can also activate the safety mode in the receiver module, whereby the signal is output both at full level (TRS peak) and reduced by 20 dB (TRS ring). If an unexpectedly loud sound source on the main track distorts audibly, you can simply fall back on the quieter, undistorted safety track during post-processing.

The free RØDE Central software can be used to update firmware, add features and make special adjustments to the Wireless GO II SINGLE. RØDE Connect is an amazing and very easy-to-use podcast/streaming software and is also free.

5. RØDE NT USB

The NT-USB is a highly versatile side-address microphone that is ideal for recording singing and musical performances in addition to spoken applications such as podcasting and voice-over. It is fully compatible with all mainstream recording applications on both Windows and Mac OS based computers, as well as the Apple iPad using RØDE Rec, GarageBand, or any other recording app that accepts an external microphone. Use on the Apple iPad requires a suitable USB connection adaptor, such as the Apple Camera Connection Kit. The body of the NT-USB features a zero-latency stereo headphone monitoring (3.5mm) jack, which allows you to monitor the microphone input in realtime, along with dials to adjust the monitoring level and mix between the computer/iPad audio and the microphone input. 10. RØDE Podmic USB

Dynamic XLR/USB Speaker Microphone

A dynamic microphone designed specifically for speech applications, ideal for podcasting, streaming and use in broadcast, radio
play and dubbing studios: it sounds detailed, full, silky and balanced. Thanks to XLR and USB connections, the PodMic USB can be used flexibly. You can either use it in the classic way via XLR with a good preamp/audio interface or you can use the USB-C socket to digitally connect the microphone signal to a computer or a smartphone or iPhone®. The audio interface built into the PodMic USB is first-class - with a powerful, yet ultra-low noise preamp and audiophile A/D converters.

To the left of the USB-C port is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, so you can hear yourself while recording without latency (direct monitoring). The headphone volume control has an integrated push button that allows you to switch from direct monitoring to computer signal. An LED under the USB-C connector indicates the respective status: green = microphone signal (direct monitoring) and red = signal from the computer or mobile device. The PodMic USB also contains a DSP chip with high-pass filter, noise gate, compressor and Aphex® that can be activated via the RØDE Connect software (see below).

Weighing just under 1 kg, the PodMic USB has a boom mount that allows it to be attached to a table stand or microphone boom and then conveniently pointed towards the speaker. There is no need for a spider, the microphone capsule itself is elastically suspended and the swivel mount is internally decoupled from the body, so there are no problems with structure-borne noise. The PodMic USB is picked up from the front, a distance of approx. 3 to 20 cm is optimal. As a dynamic microphone, the PodMic USB is much less sensitive than a condenser microphone - ideal for studios and recording rooms where ambient noise is a problem.

The PodMic USB can be updated with the latest firmware using RØDE's free Central configuration software. Using RØDE's free streaming/recording software, RØDE Connect, you can use the microphone's built-in DSP chip to process the signal inside the microphone - an ideal feature for podcasters and streamers.

The PodMic USB's housing is made of solid brass with a scratch-resistant ceramic coating, while the double-layered pickup basket is made of stainless steel. The PodMic USB is manufactured by RØDE in Silverwater, Sydney. It comes with a clip-on foam pop shield and a 3m USB-C to USB-C cable.
