The 7Artisans prime lens offers a dramatic field of view of 178° and features manual focus. The highlight of the lens, alongside its unique perspective, is the creative distortions it produces. This lens can be used for travel, landscapes, panoramas, and night scenes. The robust lens consists of eleven elements in eight groups, including a HOYA element with low dispersion. This allows you to capture images with reduced chromatic aberrations. Even in suboptimal lighting conditions, you can take impressive pictures with the 7Artisans 10 mm F2.8.
The wide-angle lens is characterized by an expanded viewing angle. It differs from standard lenses due to its shorter focal length. This shorter focal length increases the field of view, making subjects appear smaller and allowing more to be captured in the photo. Additionally, the wide-angle lens creates a noticeable effect of spatial depth—objects in the distance appear even further away, giving your images a striking sense of depth.
This lens can only be focused manually. While manual focusing may take longer and be more challenging than working with autofocus, it offers several advantages: it allows you to precisely focus on the point you desire, enabling shots that align exactly with your vision. The second generation of the 7.5 mm F2.8 has been optimized in its optical structure. A single glass element with a higher refractive index is used in the front glass element to replace the cemented glass of the first generation. The rear group of optical glass is reinforced with HOYA ED glass, effectively improving chromatic aberration.
The image quality of the lens has been significantly enhanced. While various aberrations are corrected, the field of view has also been improved. The polishing process of the glass is now more precise and complex than in the previous generation. The optical structure of the entire lens still consists of 11 lenses, but the overall optical length has been shortened, making the lens more compact than before.
The exterior appearance retains the style of the first generation but continues to feature a fully metal body. The 7.5 mm F2.8 Mark II uses a housing oxidation process, and the color of the lens mount has been changed to electroplated tungsten steel, making it both beautiful and durable. It is newly adapted to the Nikon Z-Mount, providing users with more options.
Note: Due to the large angle of view of the fisheye lens, the filter holder of the lens hood will block the image, so no filter holders or lens hoods are currently available.
