The Palmer PAN04A is a 2-channel DI box for feeding the unbalanced and high-impedance signals of electrical instruments into the microphone inputs of a mixing console. It provides a transformer-balanced, low-impedance signal at the outputs and eliminates mains hum and interference caused by ground loops. The PAN01 PRO is the deluxe version of the 1000-times proven passive DI-BOX PAN01. "Deluxe" in this case means that everything about the PAN01 PRO has been reinforced a bit to survive the rigors of road use unscathed. The PAN01 PRO's cabinet is made of 2mm sheet steel to withstand any mechanical assault. PAD and ground lift switches are metal designs. Even the heart of a passive DI box, the transformer, has been reinforced and completely redeveloped. A high-quality input amplifier with balanced floating input allows level adjustment over a wide range. 20 transformer-balanced XLR/m jacks with paired individual driver circuitry are available as outputs for video cameras or other sound recording devices.
The nominal output level is +4 dBu into 600 ohms. In addition, channels 19 and 20 are equipped with TRS phone jacks for balanced or unbalanced signal and RCA jacks (-10 dBu nominal level).
