2K Games

Bioshock is an action game like you’ve never experienced before. At the bottom of the sea awaits the utopian city of Rapture, torn apart by a genetic civil war. Discover an incredible yet deadly world in Art Deco style, find impressive technology, and meet fascinating inhabitants. A complete arsenal of weapons is at your disposal—from a simple revolver to a rocket launcher or flamethrower. Defy the laws of nature. Turn everything into a weapon, biologically modify your body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade your weapons, craft ammunition variants, and experiment with various combat techniques. After your plane crashes into icy, uncharted waters, you discover a rusty bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Designed as an idealistic society for a select group of scientists, artists, and industrialists, that idealism is long gone. Now the city is littered with corpses, wild guardians roam the corridors while little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn. BioShock forces you to question how far you will go and how much of your humanity you will sacrifice to save your own life. BioShock is packed with some of the coolest and most customizable weapons ever integrated into a shooter. But weapons alone won’t be enough to defeat Rapture's cunning AIs. There are literally hundreds of other strategies players can use to take down their enemies.
