First of all, I am satisfied, even that a pen is included. I also like to sketch and note by hand.
Replaced an 8" device, so the size fits perfectly.
Startup was Samsungmässig easy, the number of preinstalled and not removable apps is kindly kept within limits.
I don't really want to test the drop resistance, but at least the protective frame is quite robust and practical with the integrated pen holder. A magnetic case would ever disqualify itself for a workshop/industrial environment anyway.
Having the option to change the battery is also good, but who knows how often you'll really have to pry the device out of the frame and crack away the back. I'm more likely to reach for the powerbank. At least an aging power bank can be easily replaced.
I upgraded the storage with microSDXC 512GB and it works flawlessly. I can store quite a bit locally.
The performance is easily enough, even offline maps like osmand+ or maps.me build the display in a reasonable time.

I would like to know if the tablet has an allways on display and can you make phone calls?
Hello Atomicus,
can you use it to receive SMS, e.g. for online logins?
Does it now run on Android 11? (should actually get Android 12 from Samsung).
and after about a year, still satisfied with the tablet?
Thanks and greetings!
Leo
Hello,
My device currently has Android 11 on it. If your mobile subscription includes text messaging, phone calls and internet, then this also works with the device.
The tab is in daily use, in the meantime also crash-tested, and runs flawlessly.
