The ZOOM H5 is a portable digital recorder designed for professional audio recordings in various recording situations. This successor model builds on previous portable recorder technology and offers enhanced features for field recordings, interviews, music production, and content creation. The device comes with two interchangeable X/Y microphone capsules with 90-degree and 120-degree pickup patterns for flexible audio capture in different environments. It includes four XLR/TRS combo inputs with phantom power (48V) for external microphones or instruments, as well as two additional inputs via the optional EXH-6 expansion capsule. The recorder supports WAV format recordings with up to 24-bit/96 kHz resolution and MP3 format for smaller file sizes. A bright backlit LCD display allows for clear monitoring of recording levels and settings, along with dedicated gain controls for each input channel.
