The Zoom H3-VR virtual reality audio recorder is the complete solution for recording and editing surround sound for VR, AR and mixed reality content. Thanks to its integrated Ambisonics microphone, recorder and decoder, the compact H3-VR allows you to record 360° audio in any situation.

In the past, handling VR audio always required a dedicated Ambisonics microphone, a separate recording device and a computer to decode the data in raw Ambisonics-A format into Ambisonics-B format for VR use. With the H3-VR, you can now perform all encoding steps directly in the device, saving time, money and effort at every step.

The four Ambisonics microphones in the H3-VR capture a precise 360° sound image in the form of a VR audio recording with a resolution of up to 24 bit/96 kHz. The integrated decoder can export files directly to Ambisonics-B format without the need for a computer.

The H3-VR can also record binaural stereo files in WAV format up to 24 bit/48 kHz. The binaural stereo format delivers hyper-realistic spatialisation, adding a three-dimensional audio component to 2D productions.
Of course, the H3-VR is also capable of recording conventional stereo files, which can be played back not only via headphones but also via loudspeakers.

With the H3-VR, you can stream live events with 360° sound. This means that your listeners always have the best seats, no matter where they are.

Automatic microphone alignment and level detection make it easy to position the H3-VR. Regardless of whether the H3-VR is positioned upright, upside down or lying forwards or backwards - automatic calibration always ensures that the sound recording is correctly aligned with the video image.
