PTC thermistor tripping device MSR 220 KA is a motor protection device designed to protect electrical equipment with built-in PTC thermistor sensors against excess temperatures. It is suitable for direct monitoring of explosion-proof motors of ignition protection type Ex e and Ex d in gas explosion hazardous areas (zones 1 and 2) and in areas with combustible dust (zones 21 and 22).

Equipment features include:

  • Input for 1 to 6 PTC thermistors according to DIN 44081/44082
  • Short-circuit monitoring in the sensor circuit
  • ATEX approval according to Directive 94/9/EC
  • UL recognized component
  • Electronic fault memory (can be switched off)
  • Output relay with 2 changeover contacts.
