Product details
This ultra-wide-angle lens is the pinnacle of modern lens design for 35mm rangefinder cameras.
Features:
- New and dynamic perspectives
- Bright aperture
- For cameras with M bayonet (Zeiss Ikon, Leica)
- High-quality metal housing
The Distagon T* 2.8/15 ZM with rectilinear imaging opens up entirely new and dynamic perspectives and is excellent for photographing demanding architecture and interior design. It is particularly bright for its focal length class, allowing for shooting in challenging lighting conditions even without a tripod. The lens is manufactured in Germany, features a particularly complex optical design, and utilizes exotic glass types such as fluor-crown with anomalous partial dispersion and barium heavy flint with a high refractive index. It employs aspherical lenses and "floating elements" for internal focusing to deliver distortion-free images and consistently high imaging performance up to the corners of the frame and across the entire focusing range.
With the optional high-quality 15 mm viewfinder ZE 1365-662, the Distagon T* 2.8/15 ZM is the ideal complement to the Zeiss Ikon SW camera. On a digital rangefinder camera with a crop factor of 1.3, it becomes a 20 mm super wide-angle lens, also providing impressive perspective.
