This high-performance scanner reads even dirty, faded, and problematic barcodes in poor quality from distances of up to 61 cm in seconds—also from a smartphone display—thanks to the integrated high-resolution sensor and Zebra's PRZM technology. It captures customer cards, promotional codes, vouchers, and much more directly from the customer's smartphone for easy processing, making it ideal for use at and around the checkout counter as well as in logistics.

In addition to all standard 1D and 2D barcodes, the DS8108 also supports Digimarc watermark technology barcodes. These barcodes are invisible to the human eye and are distributed across the product packaging—there's no need to rotate or flip the item, as the DS8108 can read the barcode from any angle.
