The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a 6.21-inch Full HD+ (2248 x 1080) Super AMOLED display, along with 6 GB of RAM and either 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage, depending on the variant you choose. It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor and is equipped with a 3400 mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4+ fast charging. The Mi 8 includes two powerful 12-megapixel cameras on the back, while a 20-megapixel front camera is located on the front of the flagship device. Android 8.1 Oreo is pre-installed on the Mi 8, over which Xiaomi has added its own MIUI 9.5 user interface.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 is made of metal and glass. Above its 6.21-inch display sits a notch, which is there for good reason: the Mi 8 is equipped with an infrared face unlock feature - an advanced facial recognition system reminiscent of the iPhone X's implementation. Additionally, the Mi 8 has a dual camera on the back and a standard capacitive fingerprint scanner, also located on the back.
