Word for Today is the traditional calendar with biblical reflections for every day of the year, published by the three major free churches in Germany: BEFG, EMK, and FeG. This book offers a devotion for each day of the year based on a selected verse from the reading plan of the Ecumenical Working Group for Bible Reading. Short stories or in-depth reflections help to better understand the content and meaning of the verses and to apply them to everyday life. Three editors and over 100 authors worked on this for a year. The devotions are complemented by appropriate quotes, song verses, prayers, and the twelve monthly sayings.
