shieldThe 100% copper strands are double shielded. A strand is a conductor consisting of a large number of thin individual wires and is therefore easy to bend. The advantage is also the high tensile strength. The cable also has a bend protection. In contrast to conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: The dangerous separation of halogen-containing fire gases is thus excluded. Another advantage is that exposure to toxic gases (e. g. hydrogen chloride gas in PVC) is reduced to a minimum. In addition, halogen-free cables are flame retardant and no dangerous ignition cord effect occurs.
Furthermore, halogen-free cables are low smoke in case of fire.
