Please observe the guidelines for using the berry press: Depending on the mash (finely crushed fruit), a proper pressing process can be quick and easy. Each type of fruit requires its own method of preparation.

Grapes should be crushed beforehand, which can be done using a fruit mill or by hand. Pome fruits must be cored before pressing. The amount of juice yield naturally depends on the water content of the fruit and not on the operator's effort. With proper preparation of the fruit, pressing can be easily done with one hand.

With all presses of this type, it is not possible to press whole fruits. A mash (finely crushed fruit) must be created; otherwise, a successful pressing process is not possible. A wine or fruit press is not comparable to a juicer. Both products operate completely differently. For example, grapes cannot be processed in a juicer because the seeds would be crushed, releasing bitter substances. Only with a fruit press do the seeds remain intact, allowing the juice to be processed into wine.

Apples, pears, and other types of fruit must be processed into mash before pressing. Whole, halved, or quartered fruits cannot be pressed. Spindle presses are not designed for this purpose.
