Product details
The set includes a fruit or mash press with a volume of 30 liters, as well as a total of three pressing cloths that are specifically designed for the press's volume.
The robust berry press offers an ideal juice yield and a very high pressing pressure thanks to its metal spindle construction. Unlike presses from other manufacturers, the pressing basket is made of sturdy (red) beech wood.
The manually operated continuous steel spindle and the robust steel collecting funnel ensure easy handling. The maximum capacity of the wooden basket is 30 liters. Depending on the mash (finely crushed fruit), a proper pressing process can be carried out quickly and easily.
Each type of fruit requires its own method of preparation. Grapes should be crushed beforehand, which can be done with a fruit mill or by hand. Pome fruits must be pitted beforehand. The amount of juice yield depends on the water content of the fruit and not on the effort of the operator. With proper preparation of the fruit, pressing can be done easily with one hand.
With all presses of this type, it is not possible to press whole fruits. A mash (finely crushed fruit) must be prepared; otherwise, a successful pressing process is not possible. A wine or fruit press should not be compared to a juicer, as both products function completely differently. For example, grapes cannot be processed in a juicer because the seeds are crushed and bitter substances are released. Only with a fruit press do the seeds remain intact, allowing the juice to be processed into wine.
Apples, pears, and other types of fruit must be processed into mash before pressing. Whole, halved, and quartered fruits cannot be pressed, as spindle presses are not designed for that.
