Weller Erem CT soldering tip series, CT2 FX7/10.0 mm, curved, 370 °C
Soldering tipProduct details
The Magnastat system operates using a permanent magnet and a ferro-magnetic temperature sensor. When the soldering tip is cold, the permanent magnet is attracted by the ferro-magnetic temperature sensor. In this state, the switch is closed and the heating element is activated. As the temperature sensor approaches its Curie point, which corresponds to the selected tip temperature, its magnetic behavior changes and the heating is turned off. If the tip cools down slightly, the temperature sensor is attracted again, and the control loop starts anew.
The selection of the operating temperature is done by simply swapping the soldering tip with the attached temperature sensor. The Weller Longlife soldering tips cover temperature ranges of 260 °C, 310 °C, 370 °C, 425 °C, and 480 °C. The WTCP 51 is not suitable for ESD-safe applications, as the soldering iron is not anti-static.
