They indicate the effective value practically independently of the curve shape – even with a high harmonic content. Only with extreme curve shapes (e.g., in phase-cut controls) and frequencies above 100 Hz can the class accuracy no longer be maintained. Due to their high self-consumption, the devices are not suitable for connection to auxiliary resistors or speed sensors.
