Die günstige Festplatte hat auch einen geringen GB Preis und ist somit für den privaten Einsatz recht gut geeignet. da die Übertragungsraten nicht sehr hoch sind, ist das Modell für Profis, die oft auf große Datenmengen zugreifen nicht geeignet.

Die Western Digital Red 2 TB (WD20EFRX) ist die 2-TByte-Variante der WD Red-Baureihe und zeigt im Test gute Leistung zum fairen Preis und ist schön leise. Im Anwendungstest liegt sie aber hinter der der 3-TB-Version zurück.
