Switch to a RAID 1 setting with data mirroring if you want to store your data redundantly on the built-in WD Red hard drives. The USB Type-C port and the various included cables make the device universally usable (supports USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.0, USB 2.0). Additional USB devices can be connected to the two USB 3.0 Type-A expansion ports.
