Product details

The SilentStepStick TMC5160 V1.5 from Watterott is a highly advanced stepper motor driver based on Trinamic TMC5160 technology. This product has been specifically designed to significantly reduce noise during the operation of stepper motors, making it ideal for applications in 3D printers and small CNC milling machines. The driver can deliver a continuous current of up to 3A (RMS) without the need for an additional heat sink. With support for microstepping of up to 256 microsteps, the SilentStepStick enables precise and low-vibration movements. It is compatible with the RAMPS 1.4 board and the Arduino CNC Shield, making it a versatile solution for various mechanical Arduino projects that require stepper motor control.

  • Easy configuration via SPI interface
  • StealthChop2 mode for quiet operation
  • SpreadCycle mode for high dynamics and torque
  • CoolStep for automatic current adjustment
  • StallGuard2 for sensorless motor load detection.
