Warm Audio WA-Classic

This large diaphragm condenser microphone design is arguably the most widely used in popular music history. Instead of basing the circuitry of the WA-CLASSIC on the current incarnations of the legendary microphone, a conscious decision was made to use early circuit designs that date back nearly half a century.

The WA-CLASSIC therefore features a discrete circuit design with premium components such as Fairchild FETs, tantalum, polystyrene, and WIMA film capacitors, complemented by a CineMag USA output transformer. The capsule is a precisely engineered custom development that closely resembles the classic dual-diaphragm capsule.

The goal for the WA-CLASSIC was to revive the warm sound of the classic microphone at an affordable price for a whole new generation of music creators.
