Walimex 14/3.1 Video DSLR Nikon F

This wide angle lens from Walimex Pro was developed for videography and photography. The aperture can be adjusted continuously from 3.1 to 22, and the focus adjustment is soft and smooth, allowing for smooth tracking of focus when shooting video. The aperture ring and focus ring are equipped with a toothed ring, optimized for use with focus pullers (follow focus systems). For better readability, the distance and aperture scales are located on the side.

With the compact 14mm wide angle lens from Walimex Pro, unique pictures are created. In contrast to telephoto lenses, the wide angle reduces the image scale for the same subject distance, making it possible to capture a larger area. The Walimex Pro lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of photography and videography, especially for landscape pictures and indoor shots. The distinct depth impression offers space for creative expressions.

With a closest focusing distance of just 28cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is particularly suitable for sharp and high-contrast images from a short distance. Thanks to the excellent light intensity of 1:3.1, optimal shots are possible even in unfavorable lighting conditions. The lens has a high-quality construction, with a robust metal housing and noble optics. The glass lenses are coated, providing excellent contrast and sharpness range, as well as balanced color reproduction.

The particularly high-quality optics of the lens ensure optimal image results. The lens hood prevents stray light from the side and lens reflections, saving time in post-processing. A large number of lens aberrations, such as distortion, edge blur, or vignetting, occur in the outer areas of the image. When using a lens calculated for full format on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not utilized, thus obtaining maximum quality without the need for additional post-processing to correct lens errors.
