The VC 232 is the simplest device in the VC-200 series, yet it offers all the safety features that are beneficial for schools and training.

Sharp Display: An impressive, clearly readable EBTN display that performs well in bright environments as well as in darkness. With a 7.9 cm (3.1 inch) diagonal, all numbers and symbols are displayed significantly larger, thus avoiding reading errors.

Socket Monitoring: Depending on the selected measurement size, the correct assignment of the measurement sockets is displayed. This is a great help for beginners and students to avoid incorrect operation. If a faulty connection is made despite the display, an alarm sound will be triggered.

Safety during Battery Replacement: To change batteries or fuses, the housing must be opened. For safety reasons, the measurement leads should not be connected during this process. Unlike simple conventional devices, this measuring instrument is designed so that the housing cannot be opened while the measurement leads are connected. The measurement leads can only be reconnected after the housing is closed, as the measurement sockets are mechanically locked.

Safety through Wear Indicator: The measurement lead is double insulated in two colors. If the first insulation layer is damaged, a differently colored insulation layer becomes visible. This is optimal for training devices to replace worn measurement leads early.

Self-Resetting Fuse: This device features a self-resetting fuse for the measurement range up to 600 mA. The need to replace expensive high-performance fuses is eliminated with this variant, which is particularly advantageous in training.

Double Safety: If the multimeter is still connected to a high-energy power supply in the µA and mA range, an additional glass tube fuse will activate to protect the self-resetting fuse from overload.
