The VC 232 is the simplest device in the VC-200 series, yet it offers all the safety features that are beneficial for schools and training.

Accurate measurements through True RMS measurement. The True RMS measurement allows for precise measurement of asymmetrical voltages and currents that deviate from the basic sine wave shape. Asymmetrical voltages typically occur in power controllers such as dimmers, speed controllers, switched-mode power supplies, pulsed chargers, or electronic speed controllers. Conventional average-value meters can show significant measurement deviations in these measurement tasks.

Impedance switching. The LoZ function enables the measurement of DC and AC voltages with low impedance. The lower internal resistance of the device reduces measurement deviations caused by stray and ghost voltages.

Sharp display. An impressive, clearly readable EBTN display in bright environments as well as in darkness. With a 7.9 cm (3.1 inch) diagonal, all digits and symbols are displayed significantly larger, thus avoiding reading errors.

Measurement socket monitoring. Depending on the selected measurement parameter, the correct connection of the measurement sockets is displayed. This is a great help for beginners and students to avoid incorrect handling. If connected incorrectly despite the display, an audible warning sounds.

Safety during battery replacement. To change batteries or fuses, the housing must be opened. For safety reasons, the measurement leads should not be connected during this process. Unlike simple conventional devices, this multimeter is designed so that the housing cannot be opened while the measurement leads are connected. The measurement leads can only be reconnected after the housing is closed, as the measurement sockets are mechanically locked.
