The Voigtländer Nokton 40 f/1.4 is an affordable lens with a very interesting focal length. Many photographers consider 40 mm to be the perfect focal length for all types of photography, as it offers a 100% natural perspective and a very useful field of view. It features a well-executed design that is appreciated by many photographers for its high brightness, good plasticity, and very nice, subtle f/1.4 vignetting. In this case, the vignetting is more of an effect than an optical flaw, as it naturally draws attention to the inside of the frame, and if you need to remove it, you can simply stop down the aperture a bit.
