This function prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the main causes of battery failure. Li-ion batteries (LiFePO4) are also supported. The Li batteries are charged using a simple start algorithm that provides overheating protection. The output current is reduced when the temperature rises to 60 °C, but the charger remains operational.
