The Blu-ray discs are named after the
Blue Laser technology. The shorter laser wavelength leads to a blue light beam. While DVD media is read at 650 nm wavelength using Red Laser technology, the blue laser has a wavelength of 405 nm.
The advantage of a blue laser with a shorter wavelength is that smaller data bits can be written, increasing the amount of data on the disc.
Blu-ray discs offer three to five times as much storage space as conventional recordable DVDs, so that even high-definition videos (HD) can be recorded, played back and overwritten.
Only for use in drives and recorders that support Blu-ray discs without slot.
This disc is compatible with the BD-R specification version 1.3.
Capacity: 25GB, Speed: 6x, Packaging: 50 Pack Spindle, Surface: Wide Inkjet Printable, Print area: 22-118mm
