Venus Optic Laowa 105mm f/2 STF Nikon

The LAOWA 105mm f/2 (T3.2) STF lens is a highly sharp portrait lens with beautiful bokeh. STF stands for Smooth Trans Focus. In addition to the aperture with 14 blades that creates a circular aperture opening, the lens features a second aperture element with 8 blades. This exceptional optical design causes the distracting diffraction rings around the image points to disappear, resulting in smoothly transitioning image elements in the out-of-focus areas of the lens. A separate ring allows for the independent adjustment of this naturally beautiful and diffuse blur (bokeh) apart from the aperture setting. This also makes the transition from the sharp to the out-of-focus area more harmonious. The larger the aperture, the stronger this effect becomes.

The high-quality metal housing contains 11 elements in 8 groups, including 1 HFR (high refractive) element, 3 LD (low dispersion) elements, and 1 APD (apodization) element. This optical design produces photos with extremely high sharpness and minimal chromatic aberration. The aperture and focus adjustments are manual.
