Product details
The Laowa 7.5 mm T2.9 Zero-D S35 Cine is the widest rectilinear prime lens on the Super35 market, offering a field of view of 123°. It produces high-quality images with zero distortion and minimal chromatic aberrations, saving filmmakers significant effort in post-production. The non-domed front element allows for the use of 77 mm screw filters, making filming more convenient.
With a large aperture of T2.9, the Laowa 7.5 mm T2.9 Zero-D S35 Cine is suitable for low-light situations and provides control over depth of field, making it ideal for shots in tight spaces or for establishing shots. The zero distortion feature enables cinematographers to maintain straight lines, resulting in impressive image quality, particularly useful for architectural, aerial, and interior shots.
This optical design consists of 16 elements in 10 groups, including 2 ED and 2 aspherical glasses that effectively control chromatic aberrations. It delivers outstanding and sharp images while significantly reducing post-production time.
The relatively short minimum focusing distance of 25 cm makes it perfect for focusing on close objects while achieving a strong background bokeh effect.
Weighing less than 1.4 lb and measuring 3.17 inches in length, the Laowa 7.5 mm T2.9 Zero-D S35 Cine is exceptionally compact and portable. It easily fits onto any stabilization system, including handheld gimbals. The design allows for direct attachment of 77 mm screw filters, enhancing usability and convenience, especially for aerial shots.
