Vaude Wizard

Assuming that Vaude named the Wizard 30+4 after the English word for wizard or sorcerer, there must be some truth to it. And indeed, there is! Quite a lot, in fact: The "+4" in the name of the Wizard 30+4 refers to the additional volume in liters that can be added to the base volume of 30 liters through a zipper running around the backpack. The length of the shoulder straps, and thus the back length, is also adjustable. These can be individually adjusted via a Velcro closure on the back panel from size S to XL. The same applies to the mesh ventilation of the daypack. Depending on the need for ventilation and the desired packing volume, the back panel can be shaped accordingly—whether more ventilation or a closer fit is preferred. This makes even a sweaty ascent a breeze. The front pocket of the backpack spans the entire area and provides additional storage space. The available storage is divided by a separate bottom compartment, allowing for organized gear. However, the daypack can also be used without this separation, providing a larger main compartment. The rain cover is conveniently stored in a bottom compartment, but the material is already water-repellent, keeping out a few drops. Thus, the Vaude Wizard 30+4 is a great companion for hikes, strenuous summit tours, or even in everyday life and on longer trips as a supplement to a travel bag.
