Welcome to Hope County, Montana. This idyllic place is home to a freedom-loving community that is being terrorized by a fanatical, apocalypse-believing cult. Led by the charismatic prophet Joseph Seed and his loyal siblings, the Heralds, the cult known as "Project at Eden's Gate" has insidiously taken over the small town and every aspect of daily life. When the arrival of the protagonist provokes the cult to violently seize control of the region, he must rise up and ignite a fire of resistance to free the community.
