This makes this network cable an alternative to Wireless LAN. Double protection against external interference (SF/UTP). The CAT5e network cable from TRU Components is shielded multiple times. The entire cable is wrapped in a dense wire mesh and covered with a metal foil. This high-quality shielding protects against external interference such as parallel power cables and ensures interference-free data transmission even under adverse conditions.

Data transmission using CCA (Aluminum). CCA refers to bi-metallic single and multi-core cables with a copper-coated aluminum core for higher frequency applications. The skin effect, also known as current displacement, is a physical phenomenon caused by higher frequency alternating currents. The current density inside the conductor decreases with increasing frequency compared to the surface. The inner cross-sectional area of a conductor carrying high-frequency alternating current practically has no transmission function. Thus, the CCA network cable represents a truly cost-effective and weight-reduced alternative to conventional pure copper cables, while maintaining equivalent performance and transmission characteristics.
