The TRENDnet 100/1000BASE-T to SFP media converter, model TFC-1000MGA, is a compact, reliable, plug-and-play fiber Ethernet converter. This versatile device supports multi-mode (SX) and single-mode (LX) fiber connections up to 80 kilometers in length.

The Mini-GBIC slot and the Gigabit Ethernet port automatically select between transmission speeds of 100 and 1000 Mbps. Diagnostic LEDs on the front of the converter indicate the device status. Auto-Negotiation (Forced Configuration/Auto-Negotiation) and Link Loss Return (enabled/disabled) can be configured via an integrated dip switch. Housed in a robust metal casing, the converter can be used as a standalone device and is compatible with TRENDnet's expandable 16-slot fiber converter chassis, model TFC-1600.

  • 1 x 100Base-FX/1000Base-SX/LX Mini-GBIC slot
  • DIP switch for setting: Fiber (Forced Mode / Auto-Negotiation) LLR (Enable / Disable)
  • Supports LLCF (Link Loss Carry Forward, Link Pass Through)
  • Supports LLR (Link Loss Return) for fiber connection
  • Monitoring and configuration of Ethernet or fiber duplex mode, LLR, and receiving notifications about link failures via management module TFC-1600MM and chassis TFC-1600
  • LED indicators for power, link/activity, and failure
  • Wall-mountable
  • Compatible with TRENDnet's 16-slot fiber converter chassis, model TFC-1600 (can accommodate up to 16 TFC series media converters).
