Trendnet Cable network tester

The TRENDnet VDV & USB Cable Tester, model TC-NT3, is a comprehensive cable tester for network professionals. It accurately tests a variety of voice, data, video, and USB cables. The TC-NT3 identifies continuous, separated, short-circuited, and cross-connected pins over cable lengths of up to 300 meters. In Quick Test mode, a large number of tested cables can be collectively assessed as OK or not OK. All components fit into a convenient carrying case.

Cables and Ports
Precisely check pin configurations for T568A/B, CAT3-8, USOC (2, 4, 6, and 8), COAX, and alarm with the included RJ45-to-F adapters, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 cables.

Pin Tests
Identifies continuous, separated, short-circuited, and cross-connected pins.

TX/RX Troubleshooting
Displays separate TX and RX results for more efficient troubleshooting.

Local and Remote Testing
A master unit allows for loop testing, and a detachable remote terminal enables cable testing at locations that are not near the master unit.

Continuous Scan
The continuous scan mode allows testing of cable ends at different locations.

Manual Scan
The manual scan is well-suited for loopback cable tests.

Quick Test Mode
The Quick Test mode is designed to quickly test large quantities of cables; it identifies a cable type and then immediately determines if it is OK or not OK for that same cable type.

Blinking Hub/Switch Mode
The blinking hub/switch mode is designed to confirm which port on a hub/switch a specific cable is connected to; the LED light of the connected network port lights up.

Cable Length
Tests cable lengths of up to 300 meters.

Tone Generator
Compatible with TRENDnet’s TC-TP1 network probe for tracing cables with two distinguishable tones.
