Topping E50 II

The Topping E50 II is a highly advanced desktop DAC. It combines state-of-the-art converter technology with excellent measurement performance and flexible system integration. It is equipped with the latest AKM AK4497S stereo DAC based on the advanced Velvet Sound architecture, delivering a detailed, finely structured, and natural-sounding playback across the entire frequency spectrum. With a dynamic range of up to 131 dB and a THD+N of just 0.0001% at 1 kHz, the E50 II achieves reference level performance, meeting the highest demands of audiophile users. The USB section is based on the XMOS XU316 and supports PCM up to 768 kHz at 32-bit as well as native DSD512. A dedicated Thesycon driver for Windows ensures stable, lossless signal transmission, while macOS operates without additional installation. The coaxial and optical inputs are equipped with an FPGA and PLL-based TopSync circuit, including jitter elimination technology, allowing for extremely low jitter values down to -160 dB. The optical interface automatically detects S/PDIF and ADAT signals. In addition to RCA and balanced 6.3 mm TRS outputs, the E50 II offers selectable output levels, an integrated preamp function with volume control, and a precise 10-band PEQ with channel-separated adjustments. The Topping Home App allows for convenient control of inputs, outputs, equalizers, and other parameters. Bluetooth with LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, AAC, and SBC expands connectivity for high-resolution wireless playback up to 96 kHz/24 bit. The compact, minimalist-designed housing with touch-sensitive controls and adjustable display brightness emphasizes the high technical quality of this versatile desktop DAC.
