The Topping DX1 II is a versatile headphone amplifier that integrates a high-resolution USB DAC, a powerful amplifier, and flexible DSP functions in a compact desktop format. At its core, the ESS ES9039Q2M DAC and the 16-core XMOS XU316 USB processor work together to process PCM signals up to 384 kHz and DSD256. The modern signal processing ensures precise conversion and clean playback across the entire frequency range. With a fully balanced four-channel architecture, the device delivers up to 1,000 mW per channel at 32 ohms via the 4.4 mm output, optimally driving even the most demanding headphones. Two gain stages allow fine-tuning for different headphone types, while the 10-band PEQ enables custom sound profiles for various applications such as music, movies, or gaming. Additionally, the DX1 II offers versatile connectivity options, including USB-C, optical inputs and outputs, as well as a 3.5 mm TRRS jack with microphone support.
