The Tokina Hydrophilic Coating Filters are available in round sizes: 77, 82, 86, 95, 105, 112, and 127 mm. Filter plates are available in sizes 4x4 inches and 4x5.65 inches. The filter works by being charged with sunlight or other UV light. The underlying effect is photocalysis, where excitons (bound electron-hole pairs) are formed through light charging, breaking down water and dirt into their molecules. This charging prevents the formation of droplets and also facilitates the organic breakdown of dirt on the glass surface, allowing it to dry quickly and remain clean.

Thanks to the extra-thin frame, it can be used without restrictions on wide-angle lenses.
