Tilta Base Kit for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K

With the Base Kit for the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K you can fully utilise the potential of your PYXIS 6K. It provides protection for the camera body and includes accessories that extend the functionality of the PYXIS 6K in a video production environment. The modular design with versatile components allows customisation to your needs. The cage has multiple contact points to prevent slippage. The cage offers the following mounting options: Arri rosette, NATO rail, cold shoe, 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads, both with attachment points.

The Side Plate supports quick switching between horizontal and vertical setups as it can be used as a base plate when mounted vertically, providing enough space between the rods and the lens for most accessories. In this vertical configuration, the base plate is equipped with specially positioned threads to align the base plate with the optical centre of the lens. The side plate can also accommodate SSD hard discs with a width of 52 mm to 60 mm and a thickness of less than 12 mm. There are also several 1/4''-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for various accessories.

Both the top and bottom plates are designed so that they do not touch the heat dissipation openings of the housing and therefore do not impair the cooling performance of the camera. The Top Plate is compatible with the original PYXIS Top Handle and also has a removable adapter with a 3/8" to 1/4" thread so that the user can choose between different Top Handles. The Xeno Top Handle is connected to the Top Plate via a NATO rail. Improves handling and versatility through a sleek design with more clearance. This handle offers multiple mounting options for additional accessories, such as 1/4″-20 thread and a cold shoe connection, which is ideal for mounting an external monitor.
