The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/8 filter helps to reduce the brightness levels of lights while slightly lowering the overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for use in film, this filter can also be applied in fashion and beauty contexts. Unlike traditional diffusion or softening filters, Pro-Mist filters offer minimal detail loss across the image. The 1/8 density provides less contrast and brightness reduction than the 1/4, while still allowing for a soft, pastel-like light quality.
