The WiLink™ 8 Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/BLE evaluation kit enables customers to utilize both Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® for home and building automation, smart energy, gateways, wireless audio devices, wearable devices, and many other applications for industrial use and the Internet of Things (IoT). The WL1837MODCOM8I is a certified Wi-Fi® dual-band, Bluetooth, and BLE evaluation module that is fully compatible with many processors, including Texas Instruments' Sitara™. Drivers for Linux and Android high-level operating systems (HLOSs) are available for free from Texas Instruments for the Sitara™ AM335x MPU. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and BLE on a single evaluation board; Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz SISO (20 and 40 MHz channels), 2.4 GHz MIMO (20 MHz channels); seamless integration with Sitara™ and other application processors; shared HCI transport for Bluetooth and BLE over UART and SDIO for Wi-Fi; integrated chip antenna with easy Wi-Fi/Bluetooth antenna coexistence; optional U.FL RF connector for external 2.4 GHz antenna; direct connection to a battery via external SMPS for 2.9 to 4.8 V; input/output voltage in the 1.8 V domain.
