THQ Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide

Vermintide takes place in Ubersreik, a city overrun by Skaven, a race of ruthless ratmen. You take on the role of one of five heroes, each with a different playstyle, various abilities, and distinct equipment and personality. The individual traits of the heroes must be used cooperatively to survive an apocalyptic invasion of Skaven hordes. Battles occur in various environments, from the top of the Magnus Tower to the depths of the Under-Empire.

The time of mortals is over. The reign of Chaos is drawing nearer. The dark gods are ultimately united in their goal to spread their madness across the world like never before. In Sigmar's Empire, Karl Franz's gaze is set on the invasion of the wild northerners, but that is not the only threat. As the Chaos moon Morrslieb waxes, shrill voices echo through tunnels that have been gnawed deep beneath the cities of the Empire, and an army of Skaven pushes to the surface. It first emerges in the city of Ubersreik; a hideous, screeching mass that destroys everything in its path. Soon, Ubersreik becomes a city of corpses, sunk in the malignant shadow of the Horned Rat.

Yet even in the darkest times, there are always champions to light the way. As Ubersreik withdraws, five heroes brought together by a twist of fate lead the fight against the ratmen. It remains to be seen whether they have the strength to survive and work together long enough to stop the invaders. One truth, however, is beyond all doubt: should these five fail, Ubersreik will perish alongside them.
