The Kingdom of Myrtana has been invaded by an insatiable horde of orcs. King Rhobar II needs large quantities of magical ore to forge powerful weapons and is therefore using all available prisoners in the mines of Khorinis. To prevent these prisoners from escaping, the monarch tasks his best mages with summoning a magical barrier. But something goes wrong. The magic spirals out of control, and a rebellion turns the mine valley into a lawless area ruled by the most brutal prisoners. The king must now negotiate with the new owners while tensions between the various factions in the mine valley rise. What no one expects: the arrival of a nameless prisoner will change everything.
