Desperados III is a modern real-time tactics game set in the unforgiving Wild West. You take control of a ragtag group that gradually becomes a well-coordinated team of heroes. The very different personalities initially struggle to work together, but soon the protagonists band together to take on a seemingly superior opponent with their unique abilities. Hunted by ruthless bandits and corrupt lawmen, the Desperados must turn the tide in every mission.

On their epic journey through the USA and Mexico in the 1870s, the team faces the harshest conditions and must outsmart numerically superior gangs. The five completely different characters utilize a wide range of skills on their mission to track down their nemesis and outmaneuver a ruthless businessman, employing tactics such as infiltrating, spying, sabotaging, kidnapping, deceiving, assassinating, and, as a last resort, simply shooting down any opponent in their way.
