With the original Retrospective, thinkTANK photo took the market and the photo scene by storm. Now they have gone one better with the Retrospective V2.0...
Retaining the snug, body-hugging design, the Retrospective is lighter than the original. The main compartment can now be additionally secured with a zipped lid that can be stowed away in the cover when not in use. Each bag has its own compartment (depending on the model) for a tablet or notebook, a rear opening that allows the bag to be slid over a trolley handle and a compressible side pocket for a water bottle. The innovative "Sound Silencer" fastener has been redesigned to make it even quieter.
The Retrospective 5 V2.0 is suitable for a standard DSLR or mirrorless system camera without battery grip with attached 4.0/17-40 mm and a tablet up to 9". For example, a Canon 5D Mark IV with attached 1.8/50 mm, 2.8/24-70 mm and an iPad Mini. Or a Sony a7RIII with attached 4.0/24-70 mm, 4.0/16-35 mm, 1.8/55 mm and an iPad Mini.
"Reflecting on past work helps us be even more creative in the future," says Doug Murdoch, president and lead designer of thinkTANK photo. "When we designed the original Retrospective shoulder bag series, we were inspired by our personal experiences. We wanted to bring back the classic canvas look that is sleek and durable - but doesn't look like a camera bag full of expensive gear. The Retrospective V2.0 series combines all of our experience as photographers and product designers into a highly functional yet timeless camera bag."
