Thermal Grizzly WireView GPU

The WireView GPU is a device designed to measure the power consumption of graphics cards, developed in collaboration with Jon “elmor” Sandström. It connects to the PCIe power connectors of the graphics card and is linked to the power supply via the PCIe power cables. Data on power consumption is displayed on an OLED screen. At the same time, the WireView GPU serves a cable management function, as its U-shape allows for optimized cable routing. The PCIe power cables are connected to the WireView GPU in a way that they can be neatly routed over the backplate of the graphics card. This prevents cable bunching during the installation of the power cables and simplifies cable management. The WireView GPU enables the measurement of power consumption of graphics cards and records this data to determine energy usage. This data can be used, among other things, to calculate the electricity costs of a graphics card or to compare power consumption with other graphics cards. A special measurement cycle over 60 seconds allows for quick and convenient display of power consumption, which is particularly useful for reviews. Additionally, the measurement of power consumption can determine the energy usage of graphics cards over a specific period or during certain applications. It can also identify power spikes that may occur during the operation of current high-end graphics cards.
