The equilibrium moisture measurement ideally takes place in a borehole within the material. To keep the borehole as small as possible, the thin moisture probe with a sensor tube diameter of 4 mm is recommended, connected to a suitable measuring device. During measurement, it should be protected from dirt by a PTFE cap. The borehole can easily be sealed with adhesive putty. Based on the measured equilibrium moisture, the connected measuring device automatically calculates the material moisture in percentage and displays it on the screen. The material moisture calculation is available for the following materials: concrete, highly insulating brick, solid brick, hardwood, softwood, aerated concrete, particle board, calcium sulfate flowing screed, cement flowing screed, and sand-lime brick.
