With the ISDN/Tel T-adapters, structured cabling systems (Cat. 5) with star topology, which are already installed in many offices and buildings, can be utilized to establish an ISDN bus cabling system. There is no need to lay new cables for the ISDN system. When the adapters are removed, the star structure of all ports is restored.

The T-adapter is available in three different versions for connection to the 19" patch panels and outlet boxes: T-Bus-Ext. PP for the patch panel side, T-Bus-Ext. Outlet for the outlet side, and T-Bus Term with integrated 100 Ω termination resistors. To implement the parallel S0 bus, the adapters for the patch panel side are plugged into the panel ports and connected with patch cables.

The ISDN base connection (NT) is connected to the first adapter on the patch panel. If T-adapters are also plugged into the outlet boxes, the number of connection options is even doubled.
